Kendall Boiler & Tank Co. Restoration

The Kendall Boiler & Tank Company, a landmark complex of historic loadbearing masonry structures with steel and heavy timber floor and roof framing, has been restored and converted into office space. The restoration of the structures, which were originally constructed in the late 19th century, was done with the approval of the Cambridge Historic Commission and involved masonry restoration, extensive roof repairs, and the rebuilding of doors and windows in original historic masonry openings.
The new complex now complies with ADA standards for accessibility and provides approximately 8,000 SF of office space with independent mechanical, electrical, and data systems. An underground parking garage has also been provided.
