Pemberton Farms Addition & Improvements

Cambridge, MA

A longstanding staple of the Cambridge community, Pemberton Farms Market & Garden Center worked with PRA to develop a program to expand its retail footprint as well as give a much needed update to its storefront facade. The design called for the existing substandard greenhouse enclosure to be removed, and a new 3000+ square foot enclosed addition and 1500+ square foot greenhouse erected. As part of the work, City of Cambridge Facade Improvement program funding was sought to assist with upgrades to the facade at the existing building’s most prominent elevations, which also helped provide a unified aesthetic suitable to fit within the neighborhood context. Construction began in Summer 2017 and was completed in 2018.
