Washington Union Condominiums

The Washington Union is at the intersection of Union Park and Washington Streets in the heart of the “Washington Gateway Main Street” redevelopment district. Facing the Cathedral in Boston’s historic South End, the project site is under the jurisdiction of the Boston Landmarks Commission.

The six-story structure includes 30 new residential condominiums on five floors with ground floor retail space and indoor parking at grade. The architectural design references details familiar to the district, including exterior masonry walls with cast stone window sills and lintels, recessed spandrel panels, projecting cornice bands and ornamental metalwork. The required design review was completed with Landmarks approval and support from local neighborhood organizations.
