The new Center for Clinical Education and Research, centerpiece of the UMass Boston Nursing Program, provides a realistic hospital nursing environment using state of the art simulation technology.  This 4,500 SF, $1.1 million renovation project was developed in close collaboration with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at UMass Boston. 

Extensive coordination with the college, our consultant engineering team, nursing facility specialists and equipment vendors combined with careful and practical design to maximize the potential of the space. The successful design and production of this complex and technical space integrated the realism of a hospital environment with the flexibility needed in a classroom setting.  The project also made much-needed improvements to the existing building's problematic roofing system, which presented an opportunity to introduce natural daylighting into the new spaces.
